Pepeha - Learning In Lockdown

Hi guys today i will be showing you my digital pepeha! Enjoy!

Ms Corbett said if we did level 1 pepeha, we would get 20 tokens, if we did level 2 pepeha, we get 40 tokens, if we did level 3 pepeha, we get 60. I had a go at level 2 and hopefully I get 40 tokens!

In the level 2 pepeha, we had to do:

- One whakatauki
- Maunga
- Awa
- Iwi, hapu or marae (if you have any)
- Grandparents
- Parents
- Siblings (if you have any)
- Me

I had to ask my mum and dad about my grandparents too.

Flipgrid Videos and the Longest Word in NZ! - Learning In Lockdown

 Hi guys!

Today my class and I did something with Flipgrid. We recorded ourselves with Flipgrip saying NZ's longest word:

'taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu'

It is a name of a 305 metre hill, which is quite high, almost 300 times of my height!

Here is my video of me saying it.

https://flipgrid.com/s/Qqd3DagaHZpn

I kept getting confused about the 'horonuku' as 'honoruku'.

This was quite a challenge for us!

I hope you like my idea!
The hardest part was building the textures and decorations as I didn't know how to design it.

Lenny Faces ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) - Learning In Lockdown

This week our teacher, Ms Corbett, learnt something new. It was... Lenny faces!

What are lenny faces?

Lenny faces are kind of like troll faces, except you can make it with your keyboard. Lenny faces are like this:

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

That is a lenny face.

There are several types of lenny faces like eye roll, money, shrug, eyebrows and more! This is Ms Corbett's faourite out of all I chose:

( ͠° ͟ʖ ͡°)

Name: Wait, what?

Type: Eyebrow lenny.

Lenny faces are like memes, except they are used in texts. Some of them even require japanese words and lines and different types of letters!

My favourites:

( ͡°( ͡° ͜ʖ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)ʖ ͡°) ͡°)

[̲̅$̲̅(̲̅ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°̲̅)̲̅$̲̅]

ᕙ(▀̿ĺ̯▀̿ ̿)ᕗ

Hope you learnt what a lenny face is!

Lucky Blocks - Free Choice

Hi guys today I will be showing you what Lucky Blocks are in Minecraft! This is what a lucky block looks like:

That is one of the colours of the 4 Lucky blocks. Lucky blocks can come in different colours, and different luck. If you break a Lucky Block, it will give you random stuff, maybe good, maybe bad. If you get a well, just throw anything into the water and it might grant you good things, or it might explode you!

Some of the things are good like swords, armour, and loot, but some are very bad like The Wither, explosions, evil things and all that.

In some versions, if you craft a lucky block with emeralds, diamonds, gold or iron, it will gain more luck, and you might get better stuff. If you want to try it out on Minecraft Education Edition, you can go to this link, it will give you the pack, just download it and import it into Minecraft Education Edition.
Minecraft Google Drive

NOTE: It is on hard mode so if you want it to be easy or normal, just switch it in Settings and play.

Jigsaw Puzzle Warm Up - Learning In Lockdown

Hi guys today I want to show you this cool jigsaw puzzle game. We used it as a warm up and now our whole class is kind of addicted to it! There are several puzzles including air-crafts, food, animals, horizons, and decorations! This is the best I've solved so far:

It contained 252 jigsaw pieces and it took me around an hour and a half to finish it! I think it was worth it as it is really pretty and it is also fun to do!
If you go to the website: www.jigsawplanet.com, it will lead you to a whole lot of solvable jigsaw puzzles and pretty images for you!

Have fun solving bloggers!
