My 2 New Pets - Free Choice

I was so excited because... I was getting 2 new rabbits!

It was still lockdown so we had to do zero contact pick up. They are so small and cute! My Dad says that they are only 7 months old, they are babies. We spent the day building a small house for them and I was the one who had to take care of them, I was grateful for that! I went outside and onto the driveway to pick out some grass for them to eat. Here is a picture of them inside a box:

I called the one with the black nose Oatmeal, and the one with the white nose Lettuce.

We have finished the outside of the mini house and we made a mini cage as well, so we can put then in the backyard for them to play. I'm pretty sure one is a girl and the other is a boy. We got them for $20 each and I think it was worth it!

They mostly eat fresh greens and fruits, so my mum leaves the spares from her cooking to give to the rabbits to eat. They love it! I let them out of the cage almost twice a day. We even gave them a small blanket!

Bye bloggers! See you next blog!

  1. Kia ora Nicole! I really loved how you showed us that photo cause that help's us understand more about it! You remind me of how I really desire a rabbit but my parents say no :(
Maybe you could explain why you named them oatmeal and lettuce!

    1. Thanks Zayd Ali! I named them because when we fed them, Oatmeal ate a whole lot of oatmeal while Lettuce ate a lot of greens and vegetables!

  3. Oh Nicole! These rabbits are too cute. I think $20 is a great price. I agree - it is well worth it. I have seen in your last blog post how you take good care of your rabbits. They are very lucky to have you.
