Dumplings! - Learning In Lockdown

Today my mum and I made dumplings, also known as jiǎo zi (饺子)!

My pet rabbit UwU

We cooked them and this is how the process went:

Getting these ready:

- Some kind of green vegetable (we used this kind of vegetable that we used to plant in out backyard, it looks like chive)

- Some meat (best if its like broken up already, or use mince)

- Dumpling pastry(if you don't have any, then follow these instructions on how to make homemade! Link,

who knows, maybe you can learn some Chinese in there as well!)

Here is an image of the things you need(optional - some other things you like to eat, I put in some dried prawn shells)

Put the vegetable and the meat together, add some sauces you like. My mum put some soy sauce, oil, sugar and salt and she even added an egg to make it juicier!
Add the optional things if you like as well.

Get the pastry ready on a clean table and follow these videos. I can't upload the ones that my mum made onto my computer so follow these for now :)

Hope you like it! You can fry or steam and add a little sauce as well! Bye bloggers!

Chinese Zodiac Signs - learning In Lockdown

Hey guys, today I will be figuring out what Chinese zodiac sign you are! Lets start with:

- What year were you born?

Here is an image of the cycle of Chinese zodiac signs:

There are 12 Chinese zodiacs:
- Rat
- Ox
- Tiger
- Rabbit
- Dragon
- Snake
- Horse
- Goat
- Monkey
- Rooster
- Dog
- Pig

I am counted as a Tiger because I was born in the year 2010. Each zodiac represents years. The first Chinese zodiac sign is the Rat, followed by Ox, Tiger, etc. Every 12 years after you were born represents the zodiac year. This year it represents the Ox, and in 2022, it will be the Tiger, it goes on and on.

Here is some information about the Chinese zodiac signs:

If you know your Chinese zodiac, let me know in the comments!

Hi guys, it's Disconnected Friday and I am sure hoping we move to Level 2!

Our class made some ideas on what to do on bored days.

Hey, if you're still reading...

Prank someone with this website: geekprank.com or pranx.com

Don't worry, it's not real, it's just a prank ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Te Wiki o te Reo Maori - Learning In Lockdown

Hi guys today I will be showing you what our class did today.

Te Wiki o te Reo Maori is a week where everyone gets to celebrate the language, Te Reo Maori. It is mainly used in NZ and has been celebrated by most of the people in NZ. The use of Te Wiki o te Reo Maori is to get people to know more about this language and the ancestry and history behind it.

Since it's Te Wiki o te Reo Maori, we practiced these sentences in Maori. Here are some of the sentences we did:

Kei te ahau toku kai = I am eating

-Kei te koe toku kanikani = You are dancing

-Kei te toku panui = He is reading

-Kei te ahau toku moe = I am sleeping

-Kei te hikoi ana ia = He was walking

-Kei te oma koe = You are running

-Ko te Paulette kei te waiata = Paulette is singing

-Ko te ruru kei te whakaeke = The owl is hooting

I tried my best to see what the verbs are and hopefully they are correct!

Can you come up with any sentences in Maori? Let me know in the comments!
