Today my mum and I made dumplings, also known as jiǎo zi (饺子)!

We cooked them and this is how the process went:
Getting these ready:
- Some kind of green vegetable (we used this kind of vegetable that we used to plant in out backyard, it looks like chive)
- Some meat (best if its like broken up already, or use mince)
- Dumpling pastry(if you don't have any, then follow these instructions on how to make homemade! Link,
who knows, maybe you can learn some Chinese in there as well!)
Here is an image of the things you need(optional - some other things you like to eat, I put in some dried prawn shells)
Put the vegetable and the meat together, add some sauces you like. My mum put some soy sauce, oil, sugar and salt and she even added an egg to make it juicier! Add the optional things if you like as well.
Get the pastry ready on a clean table and follow these videos. I can't upload the ones that my mum made onto my computer so follow these for now :)
