Hi guys!
Today in Math / Mathematics we did:
Tessellations
A Tessellation is a type of pattern that can keep going, using 2D shapes and forming patterns that can repeat and repeat and repeat forever! Here is an example:
As you can see, there are different shapes right? There are triangles, squares, lots! But if you look closely, a pack of triangles and squares can make a small oval right? You can see that horizontally or vertically!
FYI - (It says oval, if you cant see it properly.)
One of our tasks was to make one using this website: https://www.nctm.org/Classroom-Resources/Illuminations/Interactives/Tessellation-Creator/
I made one using
- Hexagons
- Triangles
It was fun but took some time to do it.
You can try it out too! Use different shapes and connect them and see what happens!
Bye bloggers!
